Summer Days (Ages 3-10)

Summer Days at Mountain Laurel offers children up to eight full weeks of fun and adventure in an enriching and nurturing environment.
Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will bring outdoor wonder and play through activities such as crafts, building projects using natural materials, song, games, storytelling and water play. Rhythm and reverence will follow your child throughout the day. Fun and laughter, old friends and new — our aim is that your child will leave feeling fulfilled and supported.

AFTERCARE REGISTRATION

Aftercare registration will be available starting January 1. 

CONSIDERING ATTENDING MOUNTAIN LAUREL?

Families registered for 2+ Weeks of Summer Program 2027 will have the $100 application fee waived when applying for admission to Mountain Laurel Waldorf School for the 2026-2027 or 2027-2028 school year.

SIBLING DISCOUNT

First child is full price. Second and all additional children will receive a 10% discount.

MULTI-WEEK DISCOUNT

Receive a 5% discount when you register for 5+ Weeks.

Additional Notes About the Summer Program

Snack & Lunch
Please pack a healthy snack and lunch for your child each day. Mountain Laurel does not provide any food for the program. If registering for the Aftercare program, please be sure to include an additional snack for your child. We kindly request that you provide your child with all food they will require for the day in their backpack when they arrive in the morning. Please do not bring additional food throughout the day. Should you wish to bring in a special lunch or additional snacks for aftercare, please inform the Director upon arrival in the morning, and coordinate all food drop-offs directly with the Director away from the sight of the children to avoid disrupting the rhythm of the day for the children.

Friend Requests
Children will be grouped according to the needs that best fit the program. While we will be careful to take all friend requests into consideration as best we can, we cannot guarantee that all friend requests will be accommodated, regardless of age. We appreciate your understanding of this matter.

Water Play
The Mountain Laurel Summer Program allows children to play in sprinklers and kiddie pools at designated times throughout the day. Children must wear shoes at all times. Please provide your child with appropriate water shoes that will get wet.

Outdoor Play
The Mountain Laurel Summer Program focuses most play and activities outdoors. Please be prepared for your child to play outdoors, even in inclement weather, including hot weather and rainy weather. Please be sure to provide your child with full rain gear on rainy days, and a dry change of clothes after playing in sprinklers, rain, puddles, and mud.

Group Participation & Behavior Expectations
Our Summer Program is structured to support joyful individual and group experiences, and children must be able to listen and follow verbal instructions from their teachers. We will share our expectations with the children to play safely and kindly with others, and to care for our facilities and materials. As our staff is not equipped to provide ongoing one-on-one support, children who cannot participate safely within these parameters may be sent home and or removed from the program altogether. In these instances, refunds are not available.

Weekly Program Share
All parents and friends are invited to attend the weekly Program Share on Fridays at 2:45pm. Come see and hear all of the joys your children have experienced throughout the week! We ask that all phones and cameras are on silent, put away, and out of sight. To allow the children to simply feel your presence and loving support, we kindly ask that families refrain from taking photos and videos at the Program Share.

Waldorf Summer Program
The Mountain Laurel Summer Program is hosted by the Mountain Laurel Waldorf School. Our lead and assistant instructors are teachers, alumni, and close friends of the Mountain Laurel community. All crafts and activities are led by our amazing Waldorf instructors. Notes for Little Ones

Minimum Age: Age 3 at the start of the program

Potty Trained / Independent Restroom Use: All children must be able to use the restroom independently and graduated from the use of pull-ups. While we understand that the occasional accident may occur, we kindly ask that all children are able to utilize the restroom facilities on their own.

Rest Time: The younger children will take a quiet rest time after lunch each day. During this time, the teacher may read quietly to the children. While some children may choose to sleep, and others may choose to just lay quietly and listen, this is a quiet time for all Caterpillars to rejuvenate.

A Note About Tours

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day. To preserve the rhythm of the program and school day, we do not offer Summer Program tours prior to your first day. Our experienced instructors are skilled at helping new participants feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they arrive. If you any questions, we are always happy to help by phone or email. Changes to Dates

Requests to transfer or reschedule a registration from one week to another, or from one day to another, are subject to availability. An administrative processing fee will be charged for each change made.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are based on the date of the cancellation request received in relation to the weekly program start date. All refunds are calculated based on the registration total.

Up to 8 Weeks Prior to Program Start Date: Full Refund less $100 administrative fee per cancellation

4 to 8 Weeks Prior to Program Start Date: 50% Refund

11 to 30 Days Prior to Program Start Date: 25% Refund

6 to 10 Days Prior to Program Start Date: 10% Refund

Up to 5 Days Prior to Program Start Date: No Refunds Provided

Payment is Final

All registrations are considered final once payment has been submitted. Discount codes, promotions, coupons, or special offers must be applied at the time of original registration and cannot be added, adjusted, credited, refunded, or applied retroactively after checkout for any reason, including newly released or newly discovered promotions. No additional discounts, refunds, credits, or pricing adjustments will be issued after payment is completed. Student, employee, and other discounts are not applicable until March 2.
