Open to grades: 3 through 8 $150 (includes supplies) Classes will be held on: Tuesdays and every other Thursday 3:15pm – 5:00pm MLWS School Buildings Now, it's time to bring the story to life. In this second block, students will rehearse the movements, staging, and music of the performance. We'll explore each scene, practice holding puppets, and deepen our understanding of the story. Rehearsals will be filled with rhythm, song, storytelling, and collective expression. The performance will take place in February (date and location TBA) as part of Black History Month, culminating in a community celebration of care, culture, and creativity. All students who participated in the first block are encouraged to return, and new students are warmly welcome. Let’s bring Seed of Light to life—together.
Throughout the Fall, students have been building something beautiful: felted puppets, painted props, and colorful backdrops —all for Seed of Light, an original puppet play rooted in memory, resilience, and creation.
