MLWS Handwork Studio
Create a flat weaving project! The process includes warping a flat loom, weaving, and finishing a small rectangular piece that can be sewn into a pouch for holding crochet hooks or other small items. We will use a variety of fibers to weave and there will be an opportunity to create your own hand spun yarns to use in the project.
Michelle Boynton is the lead handwork teacher at MLWS. She completed her handwork teaching certification through the Applied Arts program at the Fibercraft Studio in Chestnut Ridge, NY. She holds a MEd degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of San Diego and a Waldorf High School Teacher Certification from the Center for Anthroposophy.
